Abby Foster for New Mexico

Showing up.
Fostering Change.

Democrat • House District 27

Dear Neighbor,

My name is Abby Foster and I’m running for the New Mexico House of Representatives, District 27 because our community deserves leadership that listens, shows up, and delivers results, especially here at home.

I’ve knocked doors across the NE Heights for candidates and causes I believe in. Those conversations with neighbors are a big part of why I decided to run.

I’m running because Marian Matthews has too often failed to provide consistent, engaged representation for us. Last year, she was the most absent member of the House. We need a Representative who is present, accountable, and ready to fight for our community.

My career is about standing up for people and helping solve problems. As a lawyer, I’ve advocated for children and disabled adults, worked on policy for the City of Albuquerque, and I worked at the Roundhouse as an analyst. I’m also a mother and a Democrat committed to affordable housing, child wellbeing, and healthcare access.

I look forward to earning your support. Let’s win this!

“My approach is grounded in empathy and informed by years of helping people navigate difficult systems.”

As an attorney, I've spent years helping people navigate complex systems. I'm running to fix the fundamentals so we can all afford to live here, our kids can thrive, and New Mexicans can access care without leaving the state.
